How to reach Fiesta Inn Insurgentes and City Express Hotels from the airport

Take the Metrobús Line 4 and in Plaza de la República station switch to the Metrobús Line 2 heading towards El Caminero. Get off at Teatro Insurgentes station, when exiting turn right into Mercaderes street and walk about 100 m (~330 ft), the hotel should be at your left.

You can board Line 4 of the Metrobús at entrance 7 in Terminal 1 and entrance 2 in Terminal 2 of the International Airport of Mexico City.

Payments are made through a Metrobús smart card, which can be purchased at sales/top-up machines, located at the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 boarding areas.

The cost for the service is $30.00 mexican pesos per person, per ride, departing from the Airport. Please be aware that Metrobús can be really crowded, so please take your precautions.

By Taxi

Authorized taxis offer comfortable and safe service from the Airport to your destination. These are the only taxis authorized by the Communications and Transport Authority (SCT Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes).

Taxi services are located at the international and domestic entrances at Terminals 1 and 2. In both cases, taxi tickets are sold at the modules located near the arrival gates and in the walkway area. Rates are posted in a visible place and are authorized by the Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT). The cost is around 300 mxn.

How to reach the Physics Institute of UNAM from the Fiesta Inn Insurgentes and City Express Hotels

Take the Metrobús Line 2 heading towards El Caminero and get off at Ciudad Universitaria station. While exiting turn right and go down the spiral stairs. Take the free UNAM transportation Pumabús Line 4 all the way to Metro Universidad station. Once there, cross the street (still inside the university) and you will find the Physics Institute about 250 m (~800 m) ahead.

Payment Method,

All debit and credit cards are accepted in Mexico City. In case you need cash, it is not necessary to bring with you. ATM machines can be found easily, close to the Hotels and at UNAM campus.

PASSPORT AND VISA FOR MEXICO

Nationals from Countries listed in this link, http://www.inm.gob.mx/index.php/page/paises_visa requires a Visa to enter Mexico, except if they hold one of the following documents:

  • Permanent resident in Canada, USA, Japan, United Kingdom or any of the EU Schengen countries
  • USA Tourist visa
  • APEC Business Traveler Card (ABTC) approved by Mexico.

If a visa is required, we strongly encourage you to start your application in your home country at least 90 days before the intended date of travel. Visas cannot be obtained within Mexico, because it is an entry document. The corresponding procedures must be done at a Mexican Consulate or Embassy abroad and it may require the receipt of the registration form and payment. For further advice contact your travel agency or the Mexican Consulate or Embassy in your country.

FEES

Registration Fee: The feed includes conference material, coffee break, Welcome ceremony, Gala dinner and a trip to the archeological site Teotihuacan.
